Term Dates
Little Darwins Nursery term dates are based on the Essex County Council Funding of 38 weeks. We set our term dates within the Essex County Council published term dates. (This may differ from local schools term dates). You can download our specific term dates from the links at the bottom of this page.
Little Darwins is open 51 weeks per year.
For term time children we will close on Friday 15th December 2023. Please note that we may close at 3pm on Friday 22nd December 2023 for our all year round children. (Final decision to be made).
We re-open on Tuesday 2 January 2024 for our all year round children and Monday 8th January 2024 for term time children.
We also have a training day each term where children, whose funding covers the whole of this session e.g. 9am - 3pm will not attend. This may apply to your child even if your funding is stretched across the whole year.
Please ensure you make alternative childcare arrangements on these days. If you have any queries regarding whether this applies to your child please speak to the office.
